SHORT CIRCUIT SHUTDOWN – prevents damage to the charger if the D.C. output is short circuited, or if the battery is connected with wrong polarity, without blowing fuses.

SOFT START – prevents high inrush current at the start of charge, even if the battery is over–discharged.

CONSTANT CURRENT BULK CHARGE AND 3 STAGE CHARGING – provides the fastest possible way to recharge the battery without overcharging.

CONSTANT VOLTAGE FLOAT – compensates for self- discharge to hold the battery at peak charge ready for use. The battery can be left on charge until required. There will be no overcharge.

PROPORTIONAL TIMING – varies the second (constant voltage) stage in proportion to the time taken for the first stage (constant current). This allows optimal charging by eliminating the overcharging and compromise of fixed charge timers. The result is lower battery electrolyte loss and reduced battery maintenance.

THE LED LADDER AMP METER – provides accurate charging indication and is more efficient, more rugged and more reliable than a conventional moving-point amp meter.

PATENTED SULPHATED RECOVERY PROGRAM – provides automatic recognition of high impedance, sometimes caused by over discharge, and applies a higher charge voltage as needed, to get the battery charging again, automatically
